Natural Homemade DIY Lip Butter/Balm (simple recipe)

Posted by admin On January - 24 - 2012

Where to buy these products? Health food stores, craft stores, ebay (best prices), Amazon, or google search soap making stores will carry them. Facebook: www.facebook.com Blog: www.ascensionstyle.com TUMBLR anneorshine.tumblr.com *I suggest finding many of these things on ebay for the best price. 1. Measuring spoons 2. Mixing/popsicAL sticks 3. Pyrex measuring Cup 4. Containers to pour into (I bought these mini containers from ebay as a bulk of 20 2 yrs ago). ingredients: 2.5 tsp food grade wax (add more wax to thicken or less for a stickier consistency) *soy wax is easier to melt than bees wax- which needs higher heat setting and may eliminate all beneficial properties in the natural oils. 2 tsp mango butter 1 tsp coconut oil 1.5 tsp almond oil Optional: add in just about 1/8 tsp Fragrant oil of your choice and coloring (cosmetic mica, concentrated lip colors, or even food coloring) Music with permission by Ryan Farish “Beautiful”

@purplegal05 Honey and coconut oils are actually natural antiseptic. HOney is also anti-inflammatory which heals wounds and kills viruses… that’s why it’s highly recommended when you’re sick etc. you can use a preservative but like most natural products it is not made for long storage ;)

  23. purplegal05 says:

Do you need to use a preservative for these bc of the honey?
